Grackle This album has a unique sound that is just so comforting and full of movement. There's a nice range of emotions in the tracks, but they all have a cohesive feel. I can already tell I'm going to spend a long time with this album. It's so charmingly rustic. Favorite track: Geomor.

LurkMusick calming, introspective, and charmingly rustic. I really love everything about this and can't wait to listen to it on the porch in the mountains late in the summer Favorite track: A Feast For The Solstice.

Ruralistic Ways is an journey through the seasons, and a tribute to ancient celtic celebrations that have a unbreakable tie to the natural world.

Dun Burr is a rustic, melancholic project taking huge influence from the classic folk cinema soundtracks of the 1970s, as well as historical folk literature and music.

Nestled in the countryside the two were at work...

Jack and Jake have found their bond to rural life an important part of their being. The two have shared many special walks and adventures together on the slopes of the Golden Valley, the hidden grottos of Herefordshire, and high above ground on the steep and stony ridges of the Black Mountains. Camping trips in the isolated Welsh Valleys became shared experiences of awe and wonder, and soon, the tangled, mossy realm in which they thrived became a point of worship and mystery.

Late nights of drinking and making merriment under the vaulted starlit skies were a regular. The two decided to record a body of work that would reflect their time in the countryside. These were their Ruralistic Ways.

A dreamy, beguiling, nostalgic dungeon synth quest through the shires. But, it's so much more than that. The LP incorporates some unique key changes, field recordings and a lot of Mort Garson style synth work. It sometimes reminds me of old 70's PG horror soundtracks.
